1/2x+3= # tickets Trudy sold
Add them together.
= x + (1/2x + 3)
combine like terms
= (x + 1/2x) + 3
= 1 1/2x + 3
convert to improper fraction
= 3/2x + 3
ANSWER: 3/2x + 3 (3rd choice down)
