1 meter is equivalent to 100 centimeters
So a 225 cm rope would be 2.25 meters long

If I'm reading the problem correctly, you actually need to add length to the rope to get to 112 meters. 112 meters would be 11, 200 cm.

Anyway, that's how I see it...
