There were 25 melons at the grocery store. The store sold 3/5 of the melons. How many melons were sold?

Convert 3/5 to a decimal by dividing its numerator by its denominator.

3 ÷ 5 = 0.6

Next, multiply the total amount of melons in the store by the decimal.

25 × 0.6 = 15
