The correct answer is Ancient Rome. The setting is around 45 years B.C. and is about Julius Ceasar coming home after defeating Pompey and his sons. The play is about his downfall and his eventual end at the hands of the conspirators. The play actually speaks about the period when Ceasar was historically killed.
