Key words are the best way to find ideas to refine a research question. When developing a research question you want to start with a broad topic. From that, if you can identify key words that are relevant to the topic you can narrow down the topic into a manageable, researchable, and answerable (in more than 'yes' or 'no') question. Key words will also help you as you research the answer to the question.
