Julia has been saving money for a new Tv. The Tv normally costs $340 but is on sale for 30% off. How much money does Julia need to buy the tv?

There are two ways that this can be done. 
 You could find 30% of the original value and subtract that from the original value:

340*0.3=102
340-102=238

OR

You can multiply the original cost by 70% (100%-30%)
340*0.7=238

But either way the amount Julia will need to pay is $238
