x = larger number, y = smaller number

x = 5y - 10
x + y = 146

5y - 10 + y = 146
6y - 10 = 146
6y = 146 + 10
6y = 156
y = 156/6
y = 26 <=== smaller number

x = 5y - 10
x = 5(26) - 10
x = 130 - 10
x = 120....larger number
