Look at 3(k+5)=-2(3k-6). Goal: Solve for k.
Multiplying where indicated:
3k + 15 = -6k + 12
Add 6k to both sides: 9k = 12 - 15
dividing both sides by 9: k = -3/9, or k = -1/3 (answer).
