12/6 = 2

8 x 2 = 16

16 + 8 = 24

2^3 or 2 x 2 x 2 = 8!

so...

2^3( 12 ÷ 6 ) + 8

= 2^3 ( 2 ) + 8

= 8( 2 ) + 8

= 16 + 8

= 24

our final answer would be 24!
