divide both sides by 3

expand

subtract x from both sides

simplify 2x + 66 - x to x + 66

subtract 66 from both sides

simplify 11 - 66 to -55

switch sides

x = -55

Answer: this equation 3(x + 11) = 6(x + 33) has only ONE solution and that would be x = -55.
