n-2=10n+42
Add 2 to both sides
n=10n+44
Subtract 10n from both sides
-9n=44
Divide both sides by -9
n=(-44/9)

To solve this equation we have to find the value of [tex]n[/tex]:

[tex]n-2=10n+42[/tex]

We have to join the terms with [tex]n[/tex] in one side of the equation, and the other terms by the other side:

[tex]n-10n=42+2[/tex]

Then:

[tex]-9n=4[/tex]

-9 is multiplying [tex]n[/tex] and it goes to the other side dividing. Then we have the final result:

[tex]n=-\frac{44}{9}[/tex]
