This amendment gives the right to a jury trial in certain civil cases, and inhibits courts preventing them from overturning a jury's findings of fact.
It allows the right of trial by jury and prevents already settled cases from being reopened and examined. This means if someone was proven innocent, new evidence cannot cause the case to be opened again.
