13/3 is not a rational number because the quotient of 13 divided by 3 is 4.3 repeated. Any repeating number is not rational. Hope that helps!

All rational numbers can be represented by a ratio of two integers. Since 3 and 13 are both integers, 13/3 is rational.

The deciml form of 13/3 is 4.3333... The decimal form of all rational numbers are either repeating or terminating. This one repeats.
