One side of a square flower bed is 16 feet long. How many plants are needed if they are to be spaced 16 inches apart around the outside of the bed?

Convert the 16 feet to inches by multiplying 16 by 12 to get 192 inches, then divide that by 16 inches to get your answer that is equal to 12. Hope I could help!
