An example of conversion of a form of energy is energy from the sunlight which both wild and cultivated plants use to promote leaf growth and the growth of the vegetable plants like say radishes, lettuce etc. Where there is more sunlight and more intense like in the tropics the plant growth is much more prolific as a consequence whereas where there is less sunlight and colder temperatures like in the Canadian north, trees where they exist tend to be stunted and small in size.
