f(x)=x/2-x and g(x)=2x^3-x/2-x so

f(x)-g(x)=x/2-x-2x^3+x/2+x

f(x)-g(x)=-2x^3+2x/2

f(x)-g(x)=-2x^3+x    or if you prefer:

f(x)-g(x)=x(-2x^2+1)
