the reason why people flock to the cities in the late 1800s was : B. People were looking for jobs in factories. The late 1800s was the period of early industrial revolution. The invention of steam engine , open up opportunities to new ways of production , which open up a whole new market that created a lot of Job opportunities.Hope this helps.
