The formula for the area of a rectangle is:
[tex]A=wl[/tex]
w = width
l = length

First, we have to convert 2 [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex] into an improper fraction, then into a number. The improper fraction would be [tex] \frac{5}{2} [/tex]. Let's convert that into a decimal.
[tex]5/2=2.5[/tex]

Let's multiply
[tex]2.5*10=25[/tex]
The area of the rectangle would be 25 feet!
