How did women and people of different racial, ethnic, or national groups contribute to the california gold rush?

They helped because they all wanted gold, simple as that. Men of all races would move to California to search for gold, and women would join them. Sometimes they were wives sometimes they wanted gold for themselves. Al races and ethnicity moved there because it was a free country so anyone who found gold could establish themselves there and become rich and important.
