Give one example when it might be important to know how much gravitational potential energy is stored by an object. Why is it important?

Answer:

A possible situation in knowing the gravitational potential energy of an object is to find it's maximum kinetic energy. It can be important if I would want to calculate the velocity the object will be having if the potential gravitational energy will be converted into kinetic by using the formula.
