Acid rain is a result of air pollution. Some of these gases react with the droplets of water in clouds to form sulphuric and nitric acids. The rain from these clouds then falls as very weak acid 
Rain with very low pH value with Sulfur and nitrogen oxides is called "Acid Rain", it causes by industrial burning of coal and other fossil fuels.
