it's just  that and extra zero ( 0 ) would be added to the end

Always; because if you used the problem 2 divided by 1, and multiplied both to the first power you would get 200 divided by 100, and a quotient of 100, not 1. But if you plan to take away zeros, then the quotients are virtually the same.
