Answer: The correct answer is- is not a true living cell.

A virus is an acellular, non living, microscopic, infective agent. It contains genetic material ( DNA or RNA) that is surrounded by a coat of protein. It can  not produce energy by its own and requires a host organism for replicating its genetic material ( DNA or RNA).

Example- Bacteriophage ( a virus that infects bacteria for its replication).

Therefore, it is not considered as a true living cell.
