I don't understand how to do things like 5 divided by 1/3.​

No worries

First write 5 as 5/1.

Then, our division becomes:

5/1 ÷ 1/3

Then we just need to turn on second number upside down and multiply.

5/1 × 3/1

= 15/1

=> 15
