if it's first person, it can make the reader feel like they are in the story. if it's third person, the reader is reading about a person place or thing. it can make the reader relate to the character

Well if it's first person you will feel like you are in the story, if it's second person you will feel like someone in the stiry is actually addressing you, and if it is third person you will feel like someone is telling the story but is not actually trying to address you!
