x^2+22x+9=0

Subtract 9 on both sides. 

Then use the formula (b/2)^2 

(22/2)^2 = 121

So, factor x^2 +22x + 121 = -9+121

(x+11)^2 = 112 

X + 11 = √112 

X = √112 - 11
