Answer:

The world that we live in is similar to the world in The Giver because they both have jobs and rules. For example, in the book, if you break the rules you would get punished or even sent to exile. Similarly, in our world if we break the rules we would go to jail or prison.  Additionally, both the worlds have jobs. In there world, they have there career chosen for them. On the other hand, we choose our own job but we are still working.  All in all, our worlds are just as similar as they are different.
