speed = 55mi/HR, distance is 45 miles and time is not given so what we are finding is the time the vehicle used when travelling 45miles at a rate of 55mi/hr. distance=speed×time. 45=55×time(t). 45=55t. now divide 45 by 55t to get time. which is 0.82.
