The length of a rectangle is 5cm more then the width. the perimeter of the rectangle is 38cm.what is the width of the rectangle?

Answer:

Width=x

Length =x+5

Perimeter =38

2(x+x+5)=38

=>4x+10=38

=>x=28/4

=>x=7
