Jake made a wooden cone with a diameter of 6 inches and a height of 4.5 inches. What is the volume of this cone?

Answer:

The volume of cone

V = (1/3) x base area x height

  = (1/3) x (diameter/2)^2 x pi x height  

  = (1/3) x (6/2)^2 x pi x 4.5

  = 42.41 (in3)
