sin(x) = opposite/hypotenuse
cos(x) = adjacent/hypotenuse
tan(x) = opposite/adjacent

X is opposite from 43 degrees.
16 is the hypotenuse because it’s the longest side.

We need to use sin(x) because we’re given the opposite/hypotenuse ratio.

For sin(x) plug in the angle for x:

sin(43) = X/16
Multiply both sides by 16.

X = 16*sin(43)
You can plug it into your calculator.
