hello :

y=2x-1 ....(*)

5x-4y=1...(**)

put the value of y  by (*) in (**) : 5x-4(2x-1)=1

5x-8x+4 = 1

-3x = -3

x = 1

but y = 2x-1

so : y = 2(1)-1 =1

one solution : (1 , 1)
