What would happen if mitosis happened without cytokinesis?

This will create a multi-nucleate cell. A multi-nucleate cell is a cell with 2 or more nuclei but shares a cytoplasm.  This often occurs when a cell undergoes mitosis without cytokineses. It seems to be a common occurrence in animal cells.
