Answer:

Action potential is usually conducted in one direction because the neurotransmitters travel in one specific direction only that is from their origin to point of target consequently  action potential is generated in form of nerve impulse from receptors to control system and then to effectors. if action potentials are conducted simultaneously from different directions then this may give patients fists and convulsions. So for this reason action potential is generated in direction only
