Zhou kingdom was one of the most long lasted kingdoms in the history of china. The ruler of Zhou dynasty divided the kingdom in several parts and they were all ruled by their relatives.

The farmers and other worker in the respective land belonged to their respective leaders. The citizens were divided into four social classes; he king and aristocracy, the military, artisans and craftsmen, and peasants.
