Answer:       3x+y=-9

Step 1 is distribute  y+6 =  -3(x+1)

                                y+6 =-3x-3

Mow you have to move your x over because standard form is Ax+By=C

                           y+6+3x =-3

Move your +6 by subtracting from both sides

                     3x+y=-9
