You can use a number line to to solve this problem by moving the places

So you would make your number line from 0 to 100 and each step on the number line would be 10. So go to 70 and count the number of steps needed to get to 50. Then take that number (2) and multiply it by 10 because each step was 10. So the anwser is 20
