To translate a function up 2 units, you have to add 2:

[tex] y=\dfrac{1}[x}\mapsto y=\dfrac{1}{x}+2 = \dfrac{1+2x}{x} [/tex]

To reflect a function over the x axis, you have to change its sign:

[tex] y=\dfrac{1+2x}{x}\mapsto y = -\dfrac{1+2x}{x}[/tex]
