[tex]F_n = 698.4 N[/tex]

Explanation:

As per Force diagram we can see that there are two forces on the Skier

One force is perpendicular to the inclined plane

other force is gravitational which acts perpendicular downwards

So here in order to force balance in the direction perpendicular to the inclined plane we can say

[tex]F_n = mg cos\theta[/tex]

here we know

m = 84.4 kg

[tex]\theta = 32.4 degree[/tex]

[tex]g= 9.8 m/s^2[/tex]

now we have

[tex]F_n = (84.4)(9.8)(cos32.4)[/tex]

[tex]F_n = 698.4 N[/tex]
