In the spring of 2006 James made 6 dollars mowing lawns. In the summer of 2007 he made 34 dollars mowing lawns. How much did he make when you add those numbers?

This question is cluttered with words and numbers and that tends to confuse people! In reality, it's only 6+34! So add those, you get 40! So James made $40
