False. The disorder won't go away on its own, there has to be an effort to make the disorder go away, usually with professional help. If the individual is suffering, then feels as though they're better on their own, they're likely to relapse and it will be a repetitive circle throughout their lifetime before seeking help.
If you have an eating disorder, seek help. It is not something that just goes away.
