Holden thinks that most of the girls are going to have a boring life after marrying people.When finally his date Sally arrives in the lobby very well dressed,he feels like marrying her even though he did not like her so much earlier.When first act finishes,Holden and Sally go out to smoke like many other people in the lobby thinking that it looks fashionable.
