Use the distributive property to write an expression equivalent to 5X (3+4)

First, distribute (multiply) 5x to 3.  You get --> 15x.


Next, distribute 5x to 4.  You get --> 20x.


Now, combine the two terms with addition.  15x+20x=35x.


35x is the answer.
