how do you solve variables on both sides

Hello!

Let's say we have the equation below.

2x-1=10x+15

We want to move all of the variables onto one side, and move the constants to the other. Let's first subtract 10x from both sides.

-8x-1=15

We add 1 to both sides.

-8x=16

We divide both sides by -8

x= -2
