What percentage of genetic information in an offspring comes from each parent?

Answer: 50%

The male and female reproductive cells (sperm and egg)  come together in sexual reproduction. These cells called gametes contain half the number of genes (50%) of the parent. Each sperm has  50% of the father's genetic information and each egg has 50% of the mother's genetic material.
